Type locality: Probably Western Australia (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 533). Notes: Type from “Nouv. Holl.”; not located in Herb. Lamouroux, CN (Womersley, 2003: 399).

Adjective (Latin), spiral (Stearn 1973).
