Type information
Lectotype locality: Nootka Sound, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 350). Lectotype: Archibald Menzies; 1793; BM (Hawkes 1986: 331, 332). According to Hawkes, in a note, dated 1 June 1975 and attached to the sheet of Menzies' 1793 material, P.C. This specimen is designated lectotype by Hawkes (1986).
