Type locality: [anchorage off] Kawio and Kamboling Islands, [Karkaralong group] Indonesia (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 78). Type: [Weber-van Bosse]; 22-23.vii.1899; no habitat data on type. L 991.239.234, Siboga Expedition Collection No. 965 (Yoshida 1998: 604). Notes: Holotype is listed as TRH A10-488 in Woelkering et al. (2005: 78), who also add, "Locality information incorrectly given in protologue, Adey & Lebednik 1967: 25 and in above references to holotype. Corrected locality information taken from Weber 1902. Collection date not given in Adey & Lebednik 1967: 25]"
