Type locality: Sankongqiao, Shenao, Nanao County,Guangdong Province, China; (Zang et al. 1995: 202) Holotype: Pan Guoying and Liao Xiaoshan; 5 June 1982; collected from shells or gravel in small canal on shallow intertidal areas, with some fresh water flowing into it; QD; 821022 (Zang et al. 1995: 202) Notes: Holotype: cystocarpic. Isotypes: AST 821021, tetrasporangial and AST 830173 and AST 820237, cystocarpic (same locality and date as holotype). Other material: AST 840100, cystocarpic, collected from Jiezigang, Lufeng County, Guangdong Province, China.
