Type locality: [Fort Dauphin] Madagascar (Woelkerling 1998: 343). Holotype: Ferlus; date not indicated; no habitat data on type. PC unnumbered, General Herbarium box collection (non-fossil; filed in non-geniculate coralline type collections cabinet under basionym) (Woelkerling 1998: 343). Notes: Holotype fragment: TRH, C15-3240, includes slide 689, ex Mus. d'hist. Nat. Paris [PC].
