This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Clathromorphum circumscriptum (Strömfelt) Foslie.

Collins collection C; iv.1889; just below low water mark; TRH; C21-3518 (Woelkerling & al. 2005: 495) Notes: Lectotype: TRH C21-3518, iv.1889, leg. F.S. Collins, designated by Woelkerling 1993:87 (Peña et al., 2021: 6). [collected by Foslie from Mastervik, Malangen, Norway (syntype)].
