Type locality: Georgetown, Tamar Est., Tasmania (Womersley 2003: 117). Lectotype: Perrin & Lucas; January 1928; 8-16 m deep. Herb. Lucas (currently in NSW) (Womersley 2003: 117). Notes: Isotypes in Herb. Lucas (currently in NSW) and isotypes (?) in AD (A12241, A49609).
