This name is of an entity that is currently accepted taxonomically.
Type locality: Canal de San Lorenzo, near La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico (Silva & al. 1996: 383). Holotype: E. Y. Dawson 6934b; 15 March 1949; dredged. LAM 5000047 (Athanasiadis 1996: 43). Notes: Dawson (1962: 21) notes that the type specimen was dredged from 8-20 m. depth, in the San Lorenzo Channel.
