This is a marine species.
Type locality: Port Arthur, Tasmania (Womersley 1984: 269). Lectotype: NSW NSW288774 [ex Lucas herbarium 009957] (Belton & al. 2019: 244, fig 6). Notes: Collector: Mrs Perrin & A.H.S. Lucas; Mr. E. Mayle (INA).
