Adjective (Latin), ligulate (Stearn 1973).

This is a marine species.
Epiphytic on Heterozoa (drift), on Myriodesma harveyanum in the sublittoral fringe and on Codium fragile in pools (Womersley 1994: 30).
Type locality: Warrnambool, Victoria (Womersley 1994: 30). Holotype: Kraft; 1September 1971; on Heterozostera, drift in harbour. AD A39356 (Womersley 1994: 30).
