Type locality: "Great Taylor Bay, Bruny I., Tas." [Tasmania]; (Womersley & Norris 1971: 25) Holotype: [S.] Shepherd; 7 February 1970; 10-16 m deep; AD; A35159 (Womersley & Norris 1971: 25) Notes: Womersley (1994: 249) notes that there are isotypes distributed to various herbaria.
