Harvey; TCD; Harvey, Alg. Aust. Exsicc. No. 397J (Edyvane & Womersley 1994: 300) Notes: Isolectotypes (2) in NSW and in MEL (652036, 652037).

Adjective (Latin), branched at right angles.

General Environment
This is a marine species.

Habitat
In the lower eulittoral or just sublittoral, usually in moderate to relatively sheltered localities (Edyvane & Womersely 1994: 300).
