This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Roseofilum corallyticum (Rützler & Santavy) D.Casamatta, D.Stanic, M.Gantar & L.L.Richardson.

Notes: Caribbean corals (Casamatta et al. 2012: 496) but on Montastrea, Bermuda, in Table 1 (Casamatta et al. 2012).
