Type locality: Tsuma, Oki Islands, Japan (36 09’N,133 14’E). (Kajimura 1994: 84). Holotype: 13 October 1992; 1m depth. TNS OS 10116 (Yoshida 1998: 869). Notes: Holotype (tetrasporic) OS 10116, isotype (female) OS 10117, both deposited in the phycological herbarium of the National Science museum, Tokyo (TNS).
