Type locality: North end of Isla Turner, off Isla Tiburón, Sonora, Mexico (Dawson 1953: 141). Holotype: Dawson; July 18, 1940; Intertidal. HAHF Dawson 717-40, in box 3531 and on slide 1502 (Dawson 1953: 141).
