Type locality: Eureka, near La Paz, Lower California. (Setchell & Gardner 1924: 776). Holotype: Marchant (no.78); May; Epiphytic on other algae. (Setchell & Gardner 1924: 776). Notes: Holotype in UC (Cho et al. 2003).
