Type locality: Turner's Island (El Datil) off south shore of Tiburon Island (Dawson 1944: 305). Not specified: D.116; 24 January 1940; lower littoral rocks. Herb. AHF 47 (Dawson 1944: 305). Notes: Dawson (1944: 305) notes that the type specimen is tetrasporic.
