This name is of an entity that is currently accepted taxonomically.
Type locality: 4 km S of Redcliff Point, northern Spencer Gulf, South Australia (Womersley 1978: 212). Holotype: J.Johnson; 10 January 1977; on Posidonia sinuosa, 10 m deep. AD A47850 (Womersley 1998: 214).

This is a marine species.
Mostly associated with seagrass (Posidonia) beds, between 2.5 and 12 m deep, In areas of moderate water movement (Womersley 1978: 214).
