Type locality: Germany: Oberohe, Lünerberger Heide (interglacial); (Index Nominum Algarum) Type: BRM; N14/33 (Index Nominum Algarum) Notes: Lectotype (fide Simonsen 1987: 359). Hustedt cited Salemer See (recent) but Simonsen could find no specimens (INA). Diatomaceous earth; collected by U. Rein and W. Selle (Novais et al., 2013).
