Taxonomic notes
According to Womersley (2003: 148), characterisation of A. minus depends on new collections of the species from the Fremantle region, including at least tetrasporangial specimens, to judge whether it is best placed in Acrosorium or Hymenena and its relatonship to H. multipartita. He notes that Kylin (1929: 11, 14) considered A. minus was close to the New Zealand A. decumbens (J. Agardh) Kylin (1929: 10, fig. 18). - (27 Jan 2009) - Wendy Guiry

General environment
This is a marine species.
