Type locality: "Tangion Datu" (Cape Datu), boundary between Sarawak, Malaysia and West Kalimantan, Indonesia (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 595). Type: Museo Civico, Venezia? Notes: De Clerck (2003) gives the following information: Holotype FI s.n. He notes that this is a species based on an old and eroded specimen of D. ciliolata Sonder ex Kützing.
