Type locality: St Jan, udfor [= outside] American Hill, Vestindien [as used by Børgesen = Danish West Indies, now the U.S. Virgin Islands] (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 286). Lectotype: Børgesen; ii.1906; ca 8 fathoms. TRH B7-2140 (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 286).
