Type locality: Plymouth, Devon (Dixon & Irvine 1977: 95). Lectotype: BM Slide 7020 (Dixon & Irvine 1977: 95). Notes: England: Plymouth; Collector: G. Brebner; in cortical layer of Dasya coccinea (Index Nominum Algarum).

Adjective (Latin), endophytic.
