The type species (holotype) of the genus Glenodinium is Glenodinium cinctum Ehrenberg.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Parvodinium cunningtonii (Lemmermann) Pandeirada, Craveiro, Daugbjerg, Moestrup & A.J.Calado.
