Bradbury; February 1985; Elevation 735 m, large deep glacial lake, composite collection; CAS; Slide 221033 (Kociolek & al. 2004: 441, 428) Notes: CAS Accession 621809 (California Academy of Sciences).

General Environment
This is a freshwater species.

Description
Valves lanceolate-clavate, with headpole narrowly rounded and footpole broadly rounded. Length 25-30 mm, breadth 5-6 mm. Raphe straight, lateral. External proximal raphe ends small and close together. Internal proximal raphe ends recurved., Axial area narrow at poles, widening towards centre to form a rectangular central area without stigmata. Striae parallel to radiate, strongly radiate at footpole, six to seven in 10 mm. Distinct apical pore field at footpole.
