Type locality: Hruby Jeseník mountains, Czechia (Barcytë & al. 2019: 217). Holotype: Ettl (1976), pl.61, fig.1: cryopreserved authentic strain SAG 25.87 in Culture Coll. of Algae at Göttingen Univ. (epitype) (Barcytë & al. 2019: 217). Notes: Czech Republic: "aus Waldböden des Altvatergebirges" (INA).
