Type locality: Blind Bay, Cook Straits, New Zealand (Womersley 2003: 213). Lectotype: Lyall; August 1849; BM (Womersley 2003: 213). Notes: Womersley (2003: 213) notes that there is a similar specimen in TCD but dated September 1850.
