Status of name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Althenia cylindrocarpa (Koernicke) Ascherson
Type locality: "Australia felix" (Robertson 1984: 78). Type: F. Mueller n. 52; Herb. Berlin (presumed destroyed). (Robertson 1984: 78). Notes: Robertson (1984: 78) notes that “Australia Felix” was used broadly to denote the area of grasslands and coastline of southern Victoria from Melbourne westwards to Portland.
