Nomenclatural note
Delnatte & Wynne (2106) note that "This was described by Montagne (1856, as Phycoseris belangeri) from Martinique and transferred to Ulva by De Toni (1889). Taylor (1960) did not include it in his flora. The specimen in PC resembles U[lva] fasciata. - (20 October 2016) - M.D. Guiry
