Type locality: Rottnest Island, Western Australia (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 440). Lectotype: Harvey; On jetty reef. Herb. Harvey, TCD Alg. Aust. Exsic. no. 213A (Womersley 1998: 494). Notes: Womersley (1998: 494) notes that Trav. Set 189 was not located.
This is a marine species.
