Type locality: "... tundra lake about 50 cm deep near Cyril Bay [Amchitka I., Aleutian Is., Alaska], with Isoetes sp. (66 chromosomes). Collected by H. T. Shacklette, July 28,1967."; (Skuja 1969: 53)
