Type locality: Table Bay, Cape of Good Hope; (Silva & al. 1996: 91) Type: Drège; Notes: This type locality was first described by Drège (1843: 111) (Silva et al., 1996)

Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), slashed into narrow divisions with tapering, pointed incisions (Stearn 1973).
