This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Rhinomonas reticulata (I.A.N.Lucas) G.Novarino.

Type locality: Plymouth Sound, Devon; (Lucas 1968: 537) Holotype: fig 1B: Dr M. Parke; 26 April 1965; (Lucas 1968: 537) Notes: Isolated by Dr M. Parke, on April 26, 1965. Type culture No. 358 in the Plymouth Collection.

Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), reticulate, netted, marked with a network (Stearn 1973).
