Type locality: St Barthélemy, West Indies; (Woelkerling & al. 2005: 188) Holotype: Goes; 1867; TRH; A23-1381, includes slides 435 and 436 (Woelkerling & al. 2005: 188) Notes: Isotype: PC, unnumbered, General Herbarium box collection (non-fossil; filed in non-geniculate coralline type collections cabinet under basionym). St. Barthélemy is part of the Lesser Antilles, one of the three island groups comprising the West Indies, along with the Greater Antilles and the Bahamas.
