Agardh 39346 (Phycotheca Lusitana no. 292) (Díaz-Tapia & Bárbara 2013: 331) Notes: Type locality: Arrábida, Portugal (Diaz-Tapia & Bárbara, 2013).

Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), resembling the mosses, specifically the genus Hypnum (Neal 1993).
