Type locality: not indicated ; (Index Nominum Algarum) Type: symbiotic in the foraminifer Archais angulus; (Lee, Crockett, Hagen & Stone 1974: 409) Notes: Pocock et al. (2004: 1140) examined ATCC 50216: Chlamydomonas hedleyi (authentic strain) isolated by Lee, from foramaniferan Archais angulatus, Key Largo Sound , Fl, USA. This locality was not cited in Lee et al. 1974). Perhaps it was obtained from Lee & Zucker (1969).
