Source of Synonymy
Rumrich, U., Lange-Bertalot, H. & Rumrich, M. (2000). Diatomeen der Anden von Venezuela bis Patagonien/Feuerland und zwei weitere Beiträge. Diatoms of the Andes from Venezuela to Patagonia/Tierra del Fuego and two additional contributions. Iconographia Diatomologica 9: 1-673, incl. 197 pls.
Type Information
Type locality: "Sachen-Anhalt, Halle a.d. Saale, Kultur 1" [Saxonoy-Anhalt, Germany]; (Beauger & al. 2017: 14) Holotype: BRM; N10/10. Halle/Saale. 1 (Simonsen 1987: 401) Notes: A holotypus slide was specified by Simonsen (1987: 401) as "N10/10. Halle/Saale. 1." but a lectotype was mentioned by Beauger & al. (2017: 14, "2271 HA E8040"). If this was intended as a lectotypification, it is not valid as the words "here designated" were not emplyed. No leftotypification appears necessary as a single element can be identified in Hustedt's materials.
