The type species (holotype) of the genus Pyramimonas is Pyramimonas tetrarhynchus Schmarda.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Pyramimonas orientalis Butcher ex McFadden, D.R.A.Hill & Wetherbee.
