AlgaTerra
The objectives of the project are to build a comprehensive information system including a database on terrestrial micro-algae, integrating taxon, type, name and collection data as well as ecological and molecular information. For three years five teams have been working jointly on this task. The completed AlgaTerra System is available on the Internet (World Wide Web) since 2004. www.algaterra.org
Index Nominum Algarum
The INA is a card file maintained by Paul Silva at the Herbarium of the University of California. It contains nearly 200,000 names of algae (in the broad sense). In 1998, all the cards - names and references - were stored as TIFF images, which are available through indexes that are being made gradually. Indexes to many genera have been completed. ucjeps.berkeley.edu/INA.html
