Abstract:
This is like new genus of Flagellateae is found in a slightly salty bay of Sakyschen lake in the Crimea and requires the minting of a new family "Spiromastigaceae" a middle position between the Chrysomonadinae and Peridineae occupies. The genus Spiromastix is characterized as follows: "Single-celled, motile organisms (10-20 ยต long) With a large attached to the ventral side scourge, the spirally the cell umwindet. The cell carries on the ventral side of a transverse and a weakly pronounced oblong grooves. Two green yellowish chromatophores. Reproduction by a long division. Spherical cysts in a fixed membrane".
