Abstract:
Among the material collected by the late Prof. V. Arnoldi on the genus Oedogonium and utilized by me for the Handbook of Fresh-Water Algae of the Ukrainian SSR, a number of forms were discovered which V. Arnoldi himself was inclined to regard as new species. After an analysis of these materials the author came to the conclusion that some of these forms are really new ones and have not yet been described in the literature known to him. He succeeded in establishing twelve such forms in all. Three of these, for lack of sufficient data on their morphological peculiarities, are described as doubtful forms, as well as the fourth organism referred by author to Oedogonium Hoersholmiense Hallas but differing from the latter in many essential characters.
