Abstract:
Isthmochloron neustonica sp. nov. (Mischococcales, Pleurochloridaceae) a new and the first epineustonic species of Tribophyceae, from Corrientes, Argentina, is erected and its adaptations to the habitat are here described. Some ecological features of the environment are given. SEM analysis were also performed. The samples were collected from an artificial pool on 22/12/1989.
