Nomenclatural note
ING notes: "It is dubious whether the material on which the generic description was based is conspecific with the type of the basionym." However, the type of Aegira zosterae Fries is the type of the invalid name "Rivularia zosterae Mohr" in Weber & Mohr from the Gulf of Kiel. Rivularia zosterae Mohr is invalid as the genus name Rivularia was invalid at this time. - (29 December 2019) - M.D. Guiry
