On pp. 420 adn 421, Scarabelli (1874) referred Z. brianteus and Z. villae to Taonurus and synonymised Z. scarabellii under Hydrancyclus porroi, effectively lectotypifying it with the only remaining species, Z. caput-medusae, referred as "tipo del gen.", as cited by Andrews (1955). - (15 October 2022) - E.A.
