Nomenclatural note
A single gathering ("Triticites simplex subzone-P1 alfa: Toriyama's field locality no. 263, along or around the uphill road from Kuroiwa southeastward to Chojaga-mori, Kuroiwa, Kyowa, Shuho-cho") was cited, therefore the species was validly published. Two samples were designated as "holotypes" (actually syntypes), and Vachard (in Krainer & al. 2019) selected one of them (sample 629, cross-section of the alga) as lectotype.
