Published in: Bliding, C. (1963). A critical survey of European taxa in Ulvales. Part I. Capsosiphon, Percursaria, Blidingia, Enteromorpha. Opera Botanica 8(3): 1-160, 92 figs.
Status of name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Ulva aragoënsis (Bliding) Maggs
No synonyms are currently included in AlgaeBase.
This name was initially introduced by Bliding (1960: 174, fig. 2) but was invalid at this time as a type was not designated. A single locality was given by Bliding (1963: 113) and a type was designated by Bliding at LD ["Holotypus in Bot. Mus. Univ. Lund"] and there is a reference to the Latin description and figure in Bliding (1960), thus validating the name.
This is a marine species.
Syntype localities: various, in Atlantic France and Mediterranean Sea
