Status of name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Lophosiphonia obscura (C.Agardh) Falkenberg
Type locality: Elephant Point, Pegu, Burma (Silva & al. 1996: 526).
No synonyms are currently included in AlgaeBase.
According to Silva et al. (1996: 526), this taxon lies within the circumscription of Lophosiphonia obscura but has not yet been transferred or reduced to synonymy.
This is a marine species.
