Not in INA or CAS. Is this actually Nitzschia confinis Hustedt? Pat Sims writes (e-mail February 2016): "I too cannot trace Nitzschia confusa and there is no entry for it in Simonsen's publication of Hustedt's Diatom Types. I have compared the illustration of Hustedt%u2019s confinis and the valve outline is similar but not an exact match but then I'm no expert on Nitzschias." - (8 Feb 2016) - M.D. Guiry
