Type Information
Type locality: "... trouvée dans le Bassin du Jardin écologique du Muséum (fevrier 1949)."; (Bourrelly 1951: 268) Epitype (for lectotype of fig. 85 in Bourrelly 1951; designated by Nakada & Nozaki (2009: 490)): 23 July 2004; soil from bottom of lake; Herbarium of the National Science Museum, Tsukuba, Japan; TNS-AL-55691 (resin-embedded vegetative cells of NIES-2294) (Nakada & Nozaki 2009: 490) Notes: Lectotype (fig. 85 in Bourrelly 1951) and epitype are designated in Nakada & Nozaki (2009: 490). NIES-2294 was isolated from a soil sample collected from the bottom of Okegaya-numa, Iwai, Iwata-shi, Shizuoka, Japan and is illustrated in Fig. 3 (Nakada & Nozaki 2009).
