Habitat note
The species has moderate ecological plasticity when judged by the typological descriptor of rivers; it occurs in the rhithron of oligotrophic alkaline rivers, mostly on calcareous geological bedrocks, at high to middle altitudes, being sensitive to organic pollution and increase in nutrient concentrations (Hlúbiková et al. 2009: 754). - (19 February 2010) - G.M.
